Meet Amy. Amy is an 11-year-old girl with big ideas on a mission to change the world.
She is driven, passionate and is developing her coding and entrepreneurial skills with support from her dad.
Amy is developing an app for http://changeday.com.au/. She is spending hours working on her idea, learning new skills along the way, dabbling in coding, determined to see her idea come to life.
But, Amy needs support and we at Code the Future are determined to get it for her. Amy is looking for a mentor, someone who can help her build her prototype, someone who can help her change the world! Amy has learnt some HTML through General Assembly’s free course, she is problem-solving along the way and picking up things up quickly.
Amy is looking for a mentor based near the Mornington Peninsula (VIC) or keen to connect online, ideally, we’d like that mentor to be female. Research tells (ACS, 2015) us that the majority of young girls dismiss careers in IT before the age of 15, we want to find Amy a strong, female mentor working in the industry. Someone she can look up to and be inspired by.
If you think you’d be the right mentor for Amy please email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information and an introduction.
